Inspired in the SDG Goal #9, which aims to “Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation”,
Global ITTP program at KAIST has launched the Digital Innovation for Global Growth Research Center, with the vision to enable global academic efforts that contribute to global digital innovation that leaves no one behind.
DIGG’s mission is to promote global research collaboration on digital innovation and transformation striving towards the growth of emerging and developing economies.

DIGG pursues applied research and academic collaboration in diverse fields. Its specific goals are:
- To focus on the context and needs of emerging and developing countries contributes to practical and theoretical implications that support digital innovation, transformation and globally-driven growth.
- To promote Research collaboration, technological development, and digital transformation to promote innovation-driven growth.
- To build appropriate knowledge bridges of applied research considering the different environments and circumstances between developed, emerging, and developing economies.
