We had a very meaningful time inviting the CEO of Solarino Co., Ltd. as a speaker on July 19. He served as a Principal Researcher of the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute(ETRI). Currently, he is focusing on his business with his patented technology, so he is taking a short leave of absence from the institute.

He has had remarkable achievements since graduating from the Department of Chemistry at Seoul National University????. He received a doctorate in chemistry from Univ. of Wisconsin-Madison. He also won the Best Prize at the 2022 World Water Challenge. In addition, his special achievements include winning the Excellence Award at the same competition in 2015.

At the seminar, he demonstrated his own company's products, which the students admired. This product has applied innovative technology that can greatly help countries with water shortages. Students interested in their own drinking water or industrial water problems could make many considerations through this. Through this opportunity, we hope that GDI students can contribute to the development of their country by establishing a global cooperative relationship with Solarino.
