On June 5, we visited 'Taekwondowon' to experience Korea's taekwondo culture, which has grown into a global sport.

Taekwondowon, which consists of three main theme spaces, consists of a master of challenge experience space, a master of leap training space, and a symbol space of a master of reach. A monorail connects Taekwondowon to the observatory, so we can see the panoramic view of the Taekwondo center while riding the monorail. Many students were impressed by the three thematic spaces harmonizing with nature.

We were able to get off from the observatory and see buildings related to Taekwondo, such as Taekwonjeon Hall, Myeongin Hall, Il Yeoheon, Taekwonnu Pavilion, and Baegunjeong Pavilion. In particular, we saw statues and explanations of great men who shone Taekwondo at the Myeongin Hall.

Since then, we have met with Secretary-General Taekwondowon and have been told that we want students to continue to be interested in Taekwondo and to let the world know about it when they return home. And we watched the performance of the Taekwondo demonstration team, which allowed students to concentrate and enjoy the most with colorful and colorful performances such as breaking down, self-defense, and Taekwondo combined with K-POP. Finally, we could see and watch materials on the history of Taekwondo at the National Taekwondo Museum.

Through this experience, GDI hopes that students will feel more familiar with Korean culture and that Taekwondo culture will be widely known around the world.
