On May 19, we met with Senator Marcos Pontes from Brazil and representatives from the Embassy of Brazil and Innospace, a Korean Space Startup.

Senator Marcos Pontes is a distinguished astronaut and currently serves as a Senator for the State of S?o Paulo in Brazil, having been elected in 2022 with the second highest number of votes in history. Previously, he held the position of Minister of State from 2019 to 2022 at the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations. In 2006, he made history as the first Brazilian astronaut to spend 10 days working at the International Space Station (ISS). His accomplishments also include being appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Industrial Development Body and as an ambassador for skilled trade professionals for WorldSkills. We were truly honored to have such a distinguished guest among us, and it was an event of great significance for GDI.

Additionally, we were delighted to welcome special guests from the Embassy of Brazil and Innospace, the Korean Space Startup. The presence of these esteemed individuals made the meeting even more meaningful, as it provided an excellent opportunity for further discussions and collaborations.

During the meeting, Prof. Rho, the founder of ITTP, introduced our graduate school and engaged in an open and constructive conversation with our guests. The exchange of ideas was truly inspiring for all participants.

It should be noted that our school is always passionate about welcoming students from various countries, and we look forward to the potential impact the expansion of our international student community.
