2022 3rd Industrial Visit

On July 22, KAIST ITTP visited K-Water for industrial visit.
ITTP students visited 3 different places, K-Water Academy, K-Water headquarter and Daecheong multipurpose dam.
At K-Water academy, students had short lectures on K-Water ODA projects and water resources policies in Korea. Thanks to the diverse lectures by different officials from different departments, students could gain more comprehensive knowledge and have more vibrant discussion of various issues. After the lectures, we visited the water treatment pilot plant observing how the plant was operated.
The next destination was the headquarter of K-Water. We visited the integrated water resources management center and viewed national current conditions on water resources management. Later, we visited the drought information center showing the Korean and International drought issues. Students could learn the importance of water availability and water supplies.
The last destination was daecheong multi-purpose dam located between daejeon metropolitan city and chengjoo city. Students learned how the dam is utilized to produce hydroelectric power and enjoyed the fascinating scenery of the lake. It was the perfect refreshement on Friday :)
